Why? I don't know...
But for some reason it seems like a good idea, so I'm going with that.
First topic as given by the challenger...
250 word Autobiography:
"I have always had an eye for fashion.." |
I was born in the small town of Potchefstroom in the North
West, South Africa. A few years later I
was followed by my adorable little sister, and a move to The Big City...
Johannesburg where I lived till I was 24.
Woah that sounded a little dry, so let's pick up the pace.
In this said big city I experienced the awkward late primary and early high
school years (they said I'd grow out of it... they lied). I fantasized about
becoming a famous Hollywood actress, which in later years changed into
fantasizing about becoming a famous New York fashion designer.
So of course, I
studied Journalism at the University of Johannesburg. I dated a boy that was
shorter than me for over three years. I graduated and worked in admin and in fashion.
I loved it. Then I quit both jobs. Was unemployed for 3 months, which was
interesting. Started working as a travel agent. Being a travel agent only made
me want to travel more so I left it all behind at the age of 24 to move to
Hanoi Vietnam and teach English.
People said I'd probably meet my husband
because I was so intensely single at this time. I laughed and said it would
probably be an American. My sarcastic prediction turned out to be correct. I am
now married to an American, living in Spokane, WA, nobody is
more surprised and pleased than me. So far, so good by the undeserving grace
and love of God.
