Day four: a quote

Today's topic is:  Share your favorite quote and why:

I have too many, I've been collecting quotes since I can remember, but this morning while I was glancing through my quote book. I came across this quote:

"Your life will not go unnoticed, as I will notice it
Your life will not go unwitnessed, as I will witness it"

It's from the movie 'Shall we dance', and it's not my favorite quote of all time. I have favorite quotes for different times and situations and stages of life.

I love this quote because, to me, it's not cheesy romance. It's not this idealistic declaration of undying love based on feeling. It's a vow, it's the promise of what, at the core, you will do for this person.

Don't get me wrong, I'm idealistic, and I love a good declaration of undying love from my handsome husband, but knowing that we will be there in each others lives, through the good and bad, despite feelings and silly little emotions, is the ultimate. It's so secure, that it gives me freedom. 

Isn't knowing that your life is of importance to someone romantic? Isn't having someone know you, and know how you do life sexy?

Maybe I also just adore this quote because I am in love with noticing and witnessing Ben through the years of dating and now in marriage, and I love that he has noticed and witnessed me.
